I know this ad has been making the rounds of the social mediasphere and indeed it is a very tender, touching ad but I was even more amazed at how they made the ad. When I first watched it I just assumed it was a classically animated piece but the making of video shows that it is a combination of classically animated drawings and stop motion capture. Really phenomenal piece.

Ni No Kuni for PS3
I've seen a number of video games try and transcend the hand drawn chasm with pretty underwhelming results but this actually looks quite good. I'm pretty impressed. From Studio Ghibli comes Ni No Kuni for PS3.
